We are proud of our colourful and diverse part of the world - in fact, nothing is dearer to our hearts than our regional roots and traditions. We try to express our commitment to this region in the way we run our hotel and take every opportunity to celebrate our local culture. Nowhere is this more apparent than in our approach to the food and drink we serve. As a hotel-restaurant steeped in tradition we are committed to the principle of using finest local produce in our culinary creations. 

Our chefs at the Gasthof Bären are proud to cook with ingredients from mainly local producers - venison from nearby forests, fish from a local fishery or caught by local fishermen, and potatoes and strawberries grown in Franconian soil. Our delicious bread and cakes come from a Würzburg baker and the wine on our guests’ tables is from Randersacker or the surrounding area. Of course, each season brings its own culinary delights - Franconian asparagus in spring and fragrant wild mushrooms in the autumn – and we always like to celebrate their arrival in style.
